27-years old Hobbs entered the leauge as a 3rd round pick by the Patriots in 2005, in 2007 he set the NFL record for the longest kick return in NFL history with a 108 yard return against the Jets

That's a shame to hear. It is always sad to read that a young man's career will be cut short due to some sort of injury. I was a fan of Hobbs. He wasn't the best corner, but he was a good number 2/nickle guy. He was definitely someone you could rely on, plus he added some extra value on the special teams side of the ball as a decent return man. Hopefully all works out the best for him with whatever he choses to do with his life after football. I wish him only the best.
