need to start advertising to get more members

Where, how and when? If I may suggest...




Not on any other forum.

Once it get's going, I was thinking of advertising a little bit on facebook. Maybe I'll even make a separate facebook page. That could get people wondering...WTF is Football Fan Legends.

I contemplated for a split second..maybe 4chan...then I thought...NO. The last thing we need is a bunch of trolls running around. I could do it in the /sp/ version of 4chan, but it's still a risk.

Sadly, there isn't many places I could advertise at.

If I pay a dollar or two, I could get my school to advertise the site during the daily little powerpoint at lunch. They rent spots for kids to advertise their bands and shit. I don't think I'd want that many kids from my school here much either though, especially because they don't know anything about football.

I'd try to wait it out a bit before we start going all out with advertising though. Not only is the site a little sloppy, but if there isn't enough people, then some newcomers may be discouraged not to stay. I'll wait it out a while to see how many Wrestlezoners see the thread in The Cage, then we'll improvise from there.

Easy way to get to advertise is to tell people you know. So Sully you could easily tell your buddies at school to sign up and that can go to everyone else. I'll talk to some of my friends about potentially joining. Advertising on other forums is pretty much a no-no, so the best way about it is through friends and social networking.

I will tell my friends in school and a fb page would probably work too, ill try and get like a guy a day if that works

I might tell a few friends. And other stuff.

If we wanna do cheap advertising then we could make a website that forwards to this website its im not sure the price to make it but it has no monthly fee, we could make the site name easy for a .com an example is like football.com or footballforum.com and then have that site forward it to this one. Not sure if you wanna go that way but I know thats how a few popular gaming sites got started.
